When I use the Make A Payment Link my total is $7 and I am charged shipping? When using the Make A Payment Link - you must enter the price in the Quantity box. So, change the Qty 1 to the price you are paying. For example, if you were paying for the Medela Swing you would change the Quantity from1 to 149 and then click order. Just remember - if you do not change the quantity to the price you are paying then your total will be incorrect.
You may ask why does the price say $1.00 - please ignore this. Once you enter the price in the QTY box your total will be correct. For example, if you were changing the QTY to 149 then it is the same as saying 149 x $1.00 = $149.
Was Away Baby Essentials affected by the 2010 Medela Breast Pump Recall?
None
of the pumps sold thru Away Baby Essentials were affected by the
recall. We were notified on January 11, 2011 via a letter from Medela

the Medela Pump In Style Adv Models and the Medela Freestyle? Both
models are double electric breast pumps which may be plugged into an
outlet or operated using batteries.
The Medela Pump In Style Adv
(PISA) models include a battery pack which requires 8 AA batteries and
the pump will operate for approximately 3 hours while using the battery
pack. The Medela PISA Backpack and Shoulder include all of the same
items/ accessories and the only difference is the bag style.
The
pump motor in the Backpack, Shoulder Bag, and Metro Bag are the same.
The Medela PISA Metro Bag has a larger messenger style bag, the motor is
not attached to be bag like the backpack/ shoulder models, and it
includes 2 storage pouches and a fold out work surface.
The
Medela Freestyle breast pump has an internal rechargeable battery which
will permit your pump to operate cord free for approximately 3 hours.
Also, the Freestyle may be used while plugged into an outlet. The
Freestyle also includes a hands free accessory kit which fits a wide
variety of nursing bras (so, no more holding the breastshields to the
breast while pumping).
Q: Are these new breast pumps? A:
Yes, we only sell brand new factory sealed breast pumps. All of our
pumps are current year models.
Q: Should I purchase a used
breast pump? A: NO! Pump In Style, Swing, Freestyle, Single
Deluxe and Harmony are single user products. Use by more than one person
may present a health risk, performance questions and voids the
warranty. Purchasing parts for a pump that been shared/used by another
person is not recommended and voids the product warranty.
Q. My pump broke who do I call? A.
Please contact Medela at 1-800-633-3528, or Ameda at 1-877-99-AMEDA.
Please have your receipt available and your pump with you when you call
so they can trouble shoot the breastpump with you over the phone.
Q: Can I purchase just the bag
without the pump? A: No, Medela do not sale any carry bag
independent of the pump. Medela breast pumps are sold as an entire unit.

Questions about Shipping, Warranty, Returns: Q: When will my order be shipped? A: Order will be shipped with 2 - 3 business days. If, shipping will be delayed due to weather or other issues you will be notified via email.

Q: I want to cancel my order? A: Once you receive a UPS/USPS tracking number, you will be charged $5 for any cancellation if the order has not been shipped. If your order has already been shipped you will be charged a 20% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund.
Q: How long does it take to issue a refund? A: We will issue your refund primarily via check which will be mailed to your address. It may take 1-2 week for your refund to be issued.
Q: How do I try on a nursing bra? A: You must wear nursing pads to prevent staining and breast milk from contacting the materials. Gently unpeel the seal (with your hands only), and open the flaps. DO NOT DAMAGE THE CLOTHES HANGER function on the packaging. DO NOT USE SCISSORS TO OPEN THE PACKAGING. Return bra to package folded in the same manner it was received.
