How can I get a breast pump thru my insurance? TOP

Getting a breast pump thru your insurance is easy. Every mom must comlete a "Request A Breast Pump Thru Insurance" form located on the RIGHT side of  screen. We will then send a breast pump order form via email. Once you complete the form and fax/mail/scan it to the number on your order form, we will contact you within 4 hours. We will call you and allow you to choose a breast pump from the selcection of pumps that your insurance provider offers. We will then ship it to you immediately. Also, every breast pump includes free phone support.

Coupons and Special Offers TOP
Coupon codes do not apply to breast pump, and are not valid when applied to a breast pump order. Special offers, sales, coupon codes, and price matches cannot be combined. Free gifts are only for breast pump orders.

Away Baby Essentials Online store accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Phone orders can be placed using VISA, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. We also accept Pay Pal and Google Checkout upon customer request. We DO NOT accept international credit or gift cards. Also, we DO NOT accept international orders.

Sales Tax TOP
All orders are exempt from sales tax EXCEPT New Jersey Residents. New Jersey residents will be charged 7% Sales Tax.

Price Match Policy TOP

We will price match Authorized Medela Breast Pump Dealers offering Free Shipping and Handling. We price match total checkout prices only, which includes sales tax, and shipping/handling. The Medela breast pumps must be Factory Sealed, New, Non-Refurbished breastpumps. The price match guarantee can only be met before or at the time of purchase. We do not accept other retailer gift cards or coupons. We Only Price Match Online Retailers. We do not price match "auction style" web sites. We do not price match clearance items. Some exclusions and brands apply. Also, we reserve the right to cancel and/or change the price match guarantee at anytime and no explanation will be provided.

Shipping TOP
Order will be shipped within approximately 2 business days, once we receive your payment.  You will be notified via email of any shipping delays we are experiencing due to inclement weather or other issues. We primarily use UPS Ground, USPS Priority, and First Class Mail.  Carrier choice is at the discretion of the Away Baby Essentials staff.  Your UPS tracking number will be email to you within 2 business days.

Shipment Arrival:

Orders typically arrive within 4-10 business days. Packages will be left at delivery location with out signature. To have a signature required for package delivery or insurance an additional $3.50 will be charged to your credit card.
*Please note that the UPS driver decides whether a package can be left without signature at residence. UPS will attempt to deliver the package 3 times, and then the package will be returned to Away Baby Essentials.

Shipping Locations:

We primarily ship to the 48 Continental US States. Free Shipping Promotion only includes the 48 Continental US States. Other shipping locations include: Alaska $35 – 14 days for arrival; Puerto Rico and Hawaii $30 - 5-10 for arrival; We do not ship to PO Boxes, and No COD’s. We do not ship internationally.
It is the customer’s responsibility to enter the correct shipping address. Orders that have been shipped due to an incorrectly typed or misspelled address will cause delays in shipping and package redirection fees will be charged to your credit card. Also, the address you provide will be validated using UPS and/or USPS address verification software and auto corrections will be made if you have not entered the correct physical address. Again, any redirection fees will be charged to your credit card.

Shipping Rates:

Free Shipping for orders over $100 (48 Continental States Only). Orders under $100 will be charges a $6 shipping fee.


Breast pumps rental (Medela Symphony, Medela Lactina, Ameda Elite) shipping fees are determined by distance and are typically $10-$22.


Expedited Shipping for Breast Pump Orders (approximately 9-12 lbs)
  • Next Day Shipping: $80 – orders must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
  • 2 Day Shipping: $59 – order must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
  • 3 Day Shipping: $45 – order must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
Expedited Shipping for Smaller Packages (under 3lbs)
  • Next Day Shipping: $34 – orders must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
  • 2 Day Shipping: $16 – order must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
  • 3 Day Shipping: $12 – order must be placed before 12:30 EST by Phone
*ALL EXPEDITED ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY PHONE.

Undeliverable or Refused Packages:

All packages that are refused or undeliverable will be charged a 20% restocking fee – NO EXCEPTIONS.

$5 will be charged to your credit card for package interceptions due to incorrect addresses submitted by the customer.  Please check that the shipping address is correct before submitting your order.

Cancellation of Orders:

Once you receive a UPS tracking number, you will be charged $5 for any cancellation if the order has not been shipped. If your order has already been shipped you will be charged a 20% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping Delays:

We are not responsible in any way for shipping delays due to weather and or carrier delays.

A registered nurse is available to provide basic breastfeeding assistance. Information provided can be found in common breastfeeding literature.

You may schedule a visit from a certified lactation consultant by calling us and we will schedule a visit. All visits are $125, and phone consults are available at $30 per 15-20 minutes.

Warranty TOP
Pump In Style Adv., Swing, Freestyle, Single Deluxe and Harmony are single user products. Use by more than one person may present a health risk, performance questions and voids the warranty. Purchasing parts for a pump that been has shared/used by another person is not recommended and voids the product warranty. All electric breast pumps include a 1 year manufacturer warranty on the motor and 90 day warranty on the accessories.

MEDELA PRODUCT WARRANTY: 1-800-633-3528

This is a single user product. Use by more than one person may present a health risk and performance questions, and voids the warranty. This product is warranted by Medela, Inc. to the original retail purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of 90 days (one year for pump mechanism) from the date of purchase. In the event of a defect, Medela will repair or, at Medela’s option, replace this product, without charge for such replacement parts or labor. Purchaser shall bear all expense for returning this product to Medela. This warranty does not apply to any product used commercially or which has been subjected to misuse, abuse or alteration. ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ARE LIMITED TO A DURATION OF 90 DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. SOME AREAS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG
AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT
APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE OR IN YOUR COUNTRY.

AMEDA PRODUCT WARRANTY: 1-877-99-AMEDA

This product is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year on the pump mechanism and 90 days on all other components beginning on the date of purchase. For complete warranty, refer to the warranty card inside the package.

Returns TOP
General Return Policy:

  • All returns must occur within 14 days of purchase.
  • Customer will be charged a 20% restocking fee without exception. Shipping Fees are not refundable.
  • These are personal use products. Once items are opened they CANNOT be returned.  Breastpump accessories can not be returned - this includes but is not limited to breastpump parts, specialty feeding devices, nipple shields, breastfeeding replacement parts, breastshields, bra pads, bottles, storage bags, nipples, breastmilk transport bags and undergarments. Again as these are personal use items we reserve the right to refuse the return of any accessory to ensure the saftey of our stock.
  • Once a product has been opened it CANNOT be returned.

Breast Pump Return Policy:

Once breastpumps are opened they CANNOT be returned. Customer will be charged a 10% restocking fee for all returned breast pumps. All breastpump returns must occur within 14 days of purchase. These are personal use products. All breastpumps must remain in factory sealed box, with no evidence of tampering, and no external damage to packaging. A returned pump will be inspected for tampering and or damage before your partial refund is granted. If a breastpump is returned that has been opened it will be returned to the customer and additional shipping fees will be charged to the customer. Shipping Fees Are Not Refundable.

**Customer is responsible for all return shipping fees. **

Nursing Bra Return Policy:

Bras may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Customer will be refunded purchase amount MINUS shipping fees and 10% restocking fee. Shipping Fees are nor refundable. Bras must not be worn, damaged (ie by scissors, ect), washed, stained, and original packaging must be in undamaged, clean, and resalable. We will inspect all nursing bras prior to granting a  partial refund.  If, a bra is found to be unacceptable we will return the bra to you.

We will exchange a bra within 14 days only, and customer responsible for all shipping fees. To have your item shipped to you for an exchange is $4.80. And, you will not be charged a restocking fee for an exchange, just the shipping fee of $4.80.

Trying On A Bra:

You must wear nursing pads to prevent staining and breast milk from contacting the materials. Gently unpeel the seal (with your hands only), and open the flaps. DO NOT DAMAGE THE CLOTHES HANGER function on the packaging. DO NOT USE SCISSORS TO OPEN THE PACKAGING. Return bra to package folded in the same manner it was received.

Intimate Apparel:

Intimate Apparel items are not refundable, and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Special Order Items:
Special Order Items are not Refundable.
